I am a Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapist. This means that I work with all aspects of a person (emotional, physical, intellectual and spiritual) as they experience themselves
in the present as well as looking at how the past may have contributed to difficulties.
The Integrative element is that I work with reintegrating lost or denied parts of self and
that I work with a number of therapeutic models.
“The real act of discovery consists not in finding new lands but in seeing with new eyes”
(Marcel Proust). By this I mean, that we may have developed patterns of behaviour in our lives which no longer serve us and that by looking at these from a different perspective, we may achieve greater awareness, which is always the springboard of possible growth.
I know that unless we are seen and heard and accepted exactly as we are, in the context of a completely safe and confidential environment, very little at all can change.

About me
I am Anglo-French and totally bi-lingual so that I could offer counselling in French. I am very familiar with bi-cultural issues. I bring my experience of parenthood, single parenthood, marriage and divorce to my work. I have run my own antiques business for 25 years. I am an Artist and bring those skills to the therapy room. I have an interest in spirituality and healing.
I have been part of many groups over the years and believe there is huge learning and strength and companionship to be gained in sharing our experiences with others.
I run a support group for people who have recently had or thinking of having surgery for obesity through the British Obesity Surgery Patient Association (BOSPA).
I have particular knowledge of the options available for people who are obese.
I facilitate an Art Therapy group at the Royal London Hospital for Integrated Medecine (RLHIM) as well as seeing clients one to one on Tuesdays.
My academic background is in Fine Art and Sociology.
I have a certificate in the Therapeutic and Educational Application of the Arts from
The Institute for Arts in Therapy and Education (I.A.T.E.) 2005
A Certificate in Counselling skills for people working with the Arts (I.A.T.E.) 2005
I am fully trained by Spectrum Training, a Centre for Humanistic Psychology.
I am a member of British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP) and
